Mildred Cameron Limberg, 84, formerly of Monaca, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Villa St Joseph, of Baden, where she was compassionately cared for the past 12 years. Born October 14, 1925, in McDonald, she was a daughter of the late Earl W. and Marguarite J. Cameron. Known as Dobby, she excelled in all high school sports and was head cheerleader for four years at McDonald. Millie was a loving and compassionate lady who was a friend and second mom to many. Widowed at an early age with two young children to raise, Millie sacrificed herself to provide for her children. She was the mother and best friend of Sue Matteo, Monaca and Fred E. Limberg and his wife, Betsy, Kennedy Township; grandmother of Frank E. and Mollie Sue Matteo, Andrew and Ian Limberg; mother-in-law of Frank A. Matteo, Monaca, and sister of Lee Cameron in TN. In addition to her parents, Millie was preceded in death by her husband, A. Fred Limberg, in 1966, and two brothers, Earl and Bill Cameron. Friends will be received Tuesday, November 17, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, (724-728-4000), where services will be held on Wednesday, November 18, at 11 a.m. with Sister Carolyn Wiethorn, C.S.J., pastoral director of Villa St Joseph officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Millie enjoyed life to the fullest until affected by Alzheimers.
