Karen S. Neville Chetock, 74 of Monaca passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her home, surrounded by her loved ones. A lifelong resident of Monaca, Karen was a daughter of the late Enoch and Irene Neville. She was a graduate of Monaca High School, class of 1966 and a member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580 Ladies Auxiliary. She particularly enjoyed being with family, traveling and shopping, especially visiting Amish Country and staying at all the bed and breakfast inns. Two of her favorite places were Hawaii and Key West. Karen was a retiree of Horsehead Industries Accounts Payable Department after 33 years. She leaves her husband of 52 years, Michael Chetock, two children, Lisa (Scott) Shaffer of Rochester and Michael Chetock of Monaca. Two grandchildren, Caitlin and Matthew Shaffer, two sister-in-laws Patty (Pete)Regalla of Monaca and Nanette (Bunky) Fleming also of Monaca,and a best friend Linda Gross of New Mexico, and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by a brother, Ron Neville and a sister, Nancy Heberling. Friends will be received on Thursday from 11 am until the time of a memorial service at 1 pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
