Viola C. Lintz Brown, 91 of Monaca went to her Heavenly Home on Thursday, February 5, 2015.Born January 28, 1924 in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Michael C. and Frieda (Kommel) Lintz. Viola was a graduate of Rochester High School and the former Ambridge Nursing School. She was employed for a number of years as a licensed practical nurse at the former Rochester Hospital and later retired from Passavant Homes in Rochester. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, Monaca. In addition to her parents, Viola was preceded in death by her husband, Woodard J. Brown on June 26, 1994. She was also preceded by two brothers, Ralph and Charles Lintz and a sister, Juanita May.She leaves several step children and step grandchildren. She also leaves a brother, Norman Lintz of Monaca and numerous nieces and nephews,Friends will be received on Monday, February 9th from noon until the time of service at 1 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Her pastor, the Reverend Robert W. Strobel will officiate.
