Adis Gene Stults Obituary

Adis Gene Stults, proud father of 5 children, 72, of Olathe, KS. died on March 29th, 2024, after a brave battle with pancreatic cancer.

He was born in Drexel, MO by a midwife in the home of his parents, William Stults and Mabel Green.  He attended Louisburg High School where he held records on the track team and in baseball as a pitcher.  Adis then started framing at age 17 and his "ENTREPENEUR" days began around age 20.  He founded Stults Construction at that time and continued working for himself until 2024, even framing two houses at the ripe old age of 71.

In his younger years he was known as the local rebel, a force to be reckoned with!  But Adis was also known as a lighthearted, generous, and hardworking man.  He made many close friends over the years, and highly valued their friendship up until the end.  He was always a ladies’ man, and loved telling jokes and making people laugh.  "Get in the truck" was always one of his best pick up lines.  This man really knew how to work a room!

He married Sharon Kay Johnson in 1971 and had his "first batch of kids" Ava, Michelle, and Danny, as Adis famously quoted.  And then in 1990 he met Karie Bishop and along came his "second batch of kids" Braden and Brilynn.  His children will dearly miss him and the life lessons he imparted on them.  Among them was his love for discussing politics and busting some SERIOUS moves on the dance floor.  He took great pride in being a parent, especially helping coach and support his children in their sporting endeavors.  From baseball and basketball to wrestling, he was excited to see their accomplishments and took pride in teaching the ropes of framing to his three boys.

Adis was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Harold, Raymond, Leonard, and Max, and is survived by his children, and brothers Mike and Bill and sister Rita, grandchildren Addison, Cash, Graysen, Maggie and Leland, and many nieces and nephews.

No one wanted to endure the wrath of Adis beyond the grave for interrupting college baseball season, therefore a Celebration of Life will be held on June 2nd, 2024, at the American Legion 410 E. Dennis Avenue in Olathe, KS. 1-4 PM.  Adis wouldn't have had it any other way- please join us in celebrating him.  He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
