Ida Kay Row, born September 13, 1944, was the beloved daughter of Harold and Virgie Peters. A proud graduate of Bixby High School, Ida Kay pursued her passion for learning, eventually excelling as a purchasing agent in both the aerospace and oil & gas industries. Her career took her on a fulfilling journey, marked by her dedicated service at Aeromet Tulsa and Lee Supply & Co.
Following the tragic loss of her husband, Ronnie Lee, in 1971, Ida Kay courageously navigated single parenthood, raising her three cherished sons: Kenneth Carl, Harold Leon, and Russell Lee. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing her boys, never faltering in her commitment to their well-being.
In later years, Ida Kay embraced the endearing title of "Mimi," finding boundless joy in the company of her grandchildren. Family held an unparalleled significance in her life, and she eagerly anticipated reunions and gatherings, especially treasured trips to Arkansas to reconnect with loved ones.
Beyond her devotion to family, Ida Kay found solace and pleasure in her hobbies. She reveled in the art of sewing, found refuge in the pages of her favorite books, and delighted in curating a vibrant collection of decorations for every occasion. Her home radiated warmth and festivity, a testament to her festive spirit and unwavering love for celebrations.
Ida Kay peacefully departed this life on March 29, 2024, in Tulsa, at the age of 79. She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, survived by her devoted sons: Kenneth Carl Row, Harold Leon Row, and Russell Lee Row and his wife, Debbie; her cherished daughter-in-law, Angie Row; adored grandchildren: Carl Lee Row, Hannah Grace (Row) Bender and her husband, Patrick, Colton Leon Row, Tucker Lee Row, Arden Faith Row, and Linden Hope Row. She is also survived by her dear sister, Janet Sample; brother, Wilson Peters, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Ida Kay will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for her unwavering love, her zest for life, and her enduring devotion to those she held dear.
A ceremony to celebrate Ida Kay will be 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024 in the Rivercrest Chapel & Event Center, Bixby. Arrangements are under the direction of Bixby-South Tulsa Funeral Service & Crematory.
