Maridonna Hale Obituary

Maridonna Hale

(nee Hottel)

Maridonna passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, in Waukesha, Wisconsin, at the age of 94. She was born on November 24, 1929, in Augusta, Illinois. Maridonna was the beloved wife of the late Ross J. Hale, with whom she shared 48 years of marriage until his passing.

Maridonna will be remembered for her love of animals, especially cats, and her joy in gardening during the spring and summer months. She found great pleasure in traveling, whether it was attending baton or ballroom events with her oldest grandchildren or visiting her cherished 'happy place' in Florida. In her later years, she developed a deep connection to New Orleans, believing she had a creole heritage in another life. Her quick wit, humor, and blunt honesty endeared her to all who knew her, even in her battle with dementia when a mere glance could convey her thoughts.

Maridonna is survived by her son Lanny (Monique), daughters Dauna Dobrinska and Stefanie Crowell, grandchildren Lindsay (TJ) Bree, Brienne Hale (Alex Gonzalez), Sabrina Meeker (Kenny Rodriguez), and Riley Crowell, as well as her great-grandchildren, Brandon Jr., Ella, Gabriela, Jordan, Julian, Ellie and Ivy Joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ross J. Hale, and her brother, Philip Hottel.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 380 Bluemound Rd., Waukesha, Wisconsin.

Maridonna's legacy of love, humor, and strength will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
