Krishindat Persaud Obituary


Krishindat “Buddy” Persaud passed away peacefully on Thursday March 28, 2024. Buddy was born September 13, 1955, in Guyana, South America to Parbiti Soodhu Persaud and the late Jhonny Ramoutar Persaud. He was also predeceased by a sister Enid Bal and a niece Nadine Bal. Mr. Persaud was a retired High School Teacher from Guyana, South America school system where he taught English and Spanish. He studied abroad for many years, loved to travel, and loved professional basketball and football. He was a loving son,  father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Jennyveia Kristina Persaud (LaQuon) and his two grandchildren, Ava Monet Johnson and Eva Monae Johnson, all of Chesapeake, VA; his three sisters, Glenys Etwaroo of the Bronx, NY, Jen Ramoutar and Janet Bal of Queens, New York; and five nieces, Regina, Rema, Cheryl, Cynthia, and Ashley; and 3 nephews, Randy, Travis, and Christopher.

The family will receive friends on Saturday April 6, 2024 @ 12:00 Noon until 12:50 at Oman Funeral Home and Crematory, 653 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23322. The Celebration Of his life will begin at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of the funeral home. Celebrant Keith Worrell will officiate.
