Barbara Jean Loucks Obituary

Barbara Loucks, 75 of Westerlo, NY passed away peacefully on March 26, 2024 at St. Peter’s Hospital. Barbara resided in Westerlo for 18 years. In her earlier years, she loved to go traveling with her husband, Adie, and also enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards, hosting picnics, and parties. She was a wonderful cook and an exceptional baker and prepared beautiful wedding and birthday cakes for several people over the years. Barbara also loved decorating for Christmas and especially loved shopping and spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren up until her health would not permit her to do so.


Barbara was a member of the Methodist Church in Voorheesville for several years where she took great pride in being a member and loved volunteering for special dinners and events. She was employed at Indian Ladder Farms until she became a waitress at the Voorheesville Diner which she enjoyed very much.


Barbara was predeceased by her parents, Beatrice and Clayton Tallman, her husband Adriance, her daughter, Lisa, and her siblings, Carol Powers, Clayton Tallman Jr., and Sharon Paratore.


She is survived by her sons, Richard (Michele) Loucks of Knox, Ted (Stacy) Loucks of Knox, daughter Cheryl Wilkinson of Westerlo, granddaughters, Kayla, Cassandra, Alex, Alyssa, grandsons, Sean, Christopher (Aimee), Zachary, great-grandchildren, Caylie, Clayton, Clare, Camille, Cora, two sisters, Donna Vail of Palm Harbor, FL, Denise Tallman of Albany, Sister-In-Law, Reba Meisner of Glenmont, Brothers-In-Law, James Powers of Holiday, FL, Randy Loucks of Voorheesville, Robert Loucks of Spring Hill, FL, and several nieces and nephews.


Calling hours will be held at Meyers Funeral Home in Delmar on April 16th, 2024 from 4-6 PM with a service immediately following. A Celebration of Life is being planned for a later date in the summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Helderberg Ambulance in East Berne or to Hospice.
