Thomas Dixon Obituary

Thomas Terrell Dixon (50) was born to Sylvester and Betty Jane Dixon (Golden) on September 4, 1973. He was born the 9th child out of 10.

“I’ll just let my work speak for itself.”

He was the epitome of selflessness; concerned more with the needs and wishes of others than with his own. He loved his family and gave of himself whole heartedly. He loved the outdoors, being an avid hunter and had a passion for cooking for everyone. Raised in Strong, AR, he graduated from Strong High School, Class of 1991. He then left for Tennessee to attend a Diesel Mechanic Program and became a certified mechanic.

He worked just as hard as he played, having worked at LSB (formerly El Dorado Chemical) for the past 15 years. He also worked a number of years at Prescolite prior to LSB.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Jane Dixon (Golden), sister Dorothy Jean Thomas, and brother Lee Dell Dixon; maternal grandparents, Lonzie Golden and Ardnecia Golden (Ford); paternal grandparents, Alex Dixon, Sr., and Martha Jane Dixon (Howard).

He leaves to cherish his memories; his daughter Makayla Daniel of Little Rock, AR; his father Sylvester Dixon of Strong, AR; three sisters Jane Williams (Lee) of Huttig, AR, Felicia Randall of Strong, AR and Betty Noles of El Dorado, AR; four brothers Vestal Dixon (Janice) and Brian Dixon both of El Dorado, AR, Edward Dixon (Toni) and Kenneth Dixon both of Strong, AR; and his “Number One Girl” Lisa Island of El Dorado, AR. A host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends who loved him dearly.
