<p>Richard Lee “Dickie” Fooks, 81, peacefully departed this life on Friday, March 29 in Milford, Delaware. He was born on November 4, 1942, in Berlin, Maryland, the son of the late John H. and Esther E. White. He was raised by his late grandparents, Edgar and Meda Fooks. He attended schools in the Worcester County, Maryland public school system.</p><p><br></p><p>He developed a fascination with trucks and began driving trucks at an early age. He drove trucks for several companies that included H &amp; H Poultry, Showell Poultry, Hartman Trucking and Lester Newton Trucking before becoming self-employed. He worked as an Owner-Operator until his retirement.</p><p><br></p><p>Richard was a member of Faith, Hope &amp; Love Christian Fellowship Church in Milford, Delaware. His cherished scriptures included Psalm 23 and John 14:1-4.</p><p><br></p><p>He was joined in holy matrimony to Terry Cuffee on November 7, 1992. He was a devoted husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law, cousin and friend.</p><p><br></p><p>In addition to his mother and wife, he leaves to cherish loving memories: a son, Richard Waters (Cheryl); daughter, Regina Waters; two stepchildren, Dwayne Flamer and Michelle Flamer; three brothers, James (Patricia), Sam (Donna) and Douglas (Patricia); three sisters, Regina, Mary and Joan (Frank); five brothers-in-law, Jullion Cuffee, Sr. (Coretta), Frank Cuffee, Sr. (Rocha), Melvin Cuffee, Thomas Cuffee (Kim) and Micah Cuffee, Sr.; three sisters-in-law, Starr Hargraves, Rose Crawford and Mary Wayman (Eric); several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p>
