Joyce Missett Obituary

Died peacefully on Tuesday April 2 at Campbell House, Joyce Missett in her 97th year.

Born on the family farm near Zbaraz MB. in 1928.

Pre-deceased by her parents: Fred and Julia Szwec, 7 sisters and 3 brothers.

Joyce was a devoted wife to her late husband John (d. 2017) for 65 years.

She will be dearly missed by son Dennis and his wife Phyllis. Also survived by a daughter Elva, beloved granddaughter Alexandra and many nieces and nephews.

Though they lived for many years in Hamilton, they retired to Collingwood in 1993 and spent several happy years on Oak Street before moving to Sunset Suites in 2008. Joyce enjoyed the Sunset community and made many friends.

The family would like to thank the staffs of both Collingwood General and Marine Hospital and the Campbell House Hospice. A particular acknowledgment of gratitude to Dr. Plume at CGMH for her professionalism and compassion.

In Joyce's memory a donation to either of these fine institutions would be appreciated.

As per her wishes cremation will take place with no formal services.
