Memorial services for Daniel B. Lybrand, 86, will be private.  Memorials may be made to Leesville United Methodist Church, 510 E. Columbia Ave., Leesville SC 29070 or to the Boys Farm, P. O. Box 713, Newberry SC 29108.  Barr-Price Funeral Home and Crematorium, Historic Batesburg-Leesville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Lybrand passed away Tuesday, April 2, 2024.  Born in Ridge Spring, he was a son of the late Owen Walter and Sallie Lou Boatwright Lybrand. He was the owner and operator of Lybrand Motors for over 65 years, was known as a hard worker, and dedicated family man. Daniel was a member of Leesville UMC, served in the National Guard, and could often be seen working on farm equipment.  He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, camping, and fishing.

Surviving are his wife Carolyn Shealy Lybrand, son, Brad Lybrand (Kelly), daughters, Donna Lybrand (Woody Price), and Dr. Dana Lybrand-Covington; grandchildren, Lee Lybrand (Morgan), Jay Lybrand (Megan) Katie Beth Covington (Eli Quattlebaum), great-granddaughter, Everlee Blair Quattlebaum. He was predeceased by a son-in-law, Ronnie Covington, brothers, Owen and Wesley Alexander Lybrand.
