Carl Bernard "Teddy" Allen was born on April 20, 1953, in Aiken County, South Carolina to the late John Henry Allen and Dorothy Brooks Allen. He was the 4th of eight children. He transitioned peacefully on Monday, April 1, 2024, at Aiken Regional Medical Center. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, George Allen, Robert "Mud" Allen, and one sister Mary Ann Allen Broadwater. He received his education and training through Job Corps. He was employed with Crosby Broadwater and Sons as an accomplished Brick Mason for more than 45 years. During his employment with Mr. Crosby, he respected his position of being a brick mason by showing care and professionalism as though it was his company. Some would say that Carl was top-notch in his trade. Carl "Teddy" married Nancy Corley Allen on May 18th, 1974. He loved her dearly for 49 years. Mourning his loss, yet rejoicing in his life his devoted wife Nancy Corley Allen, three brothers John H Allen, and Charles E Allen, Aiken SC and Leroy (Della) Allen, North Augusta SC, one sister Yvorn Allen Albert, Aiken SC, five sisters in laws, Aliceeen Corley (Gary) Belcher, Francis A Corley, all of Aiken SC, Essie M Corley, Aiken SC, Amelia C (Stanley}Hill, North Augusta SC, and Namie Teresa Corley, Aiken, SC, and Mariah Allen, Edgefield SC, one brother-in-law Namon C (Jamie) Corley, Delaware. Father-in-law Namon Corley, Aiken SC. A host of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews. Cousins' other family members and friends.
