Richard Clayton Gossett, 81 years old, formerly of North Salem, IN, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010 in Hendricks Regional Health. He was born March 9, 1929 in North Salem, IN, son of the late Jewel and Geneva Sellers Gossett. He married Alice Marie Meyers on December 31, 1950. She preceded him in death. He was a member of the North Salem Christian Church, the F. A.M. 142 Masonic Lodge, and the Order of Eastern Star Pittsboro. Surviving are son, Rick Gossett, daughter, Ranell Gossett Brunner, 4 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rena Gossett Walker and brother, Frank Gossett. Friends will be received Friday, September 10, 4:00-8:00 p.m. with Masonic service at 7:00 at the Porter Funeral Home, North Salem, Indiana. Services will be held at Porter Funeral Home, Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. with John D. Gossett officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, North Salem, Indiana.
