George Arwood

George Arwood of Indianapolis passed away on Monday, October 2, 2023. He was 87 years old. George was a retired steel salesman for U. S. Steel. He loved spending time with his family, traveling to national parks, playing card games, doing puzzles and gardening. He participated in many sports at Lew Wallace High School in Gary Indiana. George enjoyed his sweets, especially Pepsi! George is survived by his wife, Michelle; children, Karen (Dianna), Michael, Meghan, and Matthew (Nicole); grandchildren, Alex (Kristina), George and Theodore; four sisters, one brother, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents, LG and Thelma, and brothers Chuck and Robert. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him, especially his fur babies, Max, Emma, and Pearl. Services for George are Saturday, October 7 at 3:00 pm at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory-Franklin Township Chapel, with visitation at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until time of service. In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to Franciscan Hospice House in Indianapolis. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
