Larry Gene Roberts, aged 87, of Holly Lake Ranch, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2024. He was born on January 8, 1937, in Kountze, Texas.

He graduated from Kountze High School where he excelled as an athlete playing football, basketball and running track. After high school he attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas, and graduated with a BS in Geology/Earth Sciences.

Larry married his sweetheart, Billie, on 3/7/58 and soon started a successful career with Moore Business Forms, working the East Texas territory. In 1963 they moved to Tyler for a few years, then on to Dallas in 1966 where he remained in the same industry selling business forms and printing. He opened his own business, Galaxy Business Forms, in 1976 and operated it until his retirement in 2015.

Larry was a dedicated member of Walnut Hill Assembly of God in Dallas,Texas where he taught Sunday School to the youth. In later years, the same church became Christian Life Cathedral and then Christian Life Assembly when they relocated to Carrollton, Texas.

Larry enjoyed all outdoor activities like hunting, fishing and skeet shooting. He owned several lake houses through the years, and especially enjoyed grilling for the family and teaching his grandchildren how to fish.

Larry Roberts was a man of integrity whose Christian values defined his life and his purpose. He loved people in the same way that Christ loves the Church. Whether it was family, friends or strangers, he opened himself up to people with a heart so genuine that all who met him instantly knew they had a friend. Larry took in and sheltered many friends and family members who were beginning new lives in Dallas. He was a willing father figure to many nieces, nephews and cousins, providing a safe place to stay, loving wisdom and boundless fun and camaraderie to make each person feel safe, welcomed and loved. His devotion to God, his wife and his two daughters were the core passions of Larry's life, and his unbounded capacity for love overflowed into the lives of countless others.

Larry lived his life to glorify God. Larry Roberts was a Galatians 5:22 man whose life embodied the Fruits of the Holy Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. The enduring impact of Larry's life in the lives of his family, friends and in this world is a generational legacy of Love.
