Nancy L. Richert, 86, died Wednesday morning, March 27, 2024, at Indian Creek Health Facility in Corydon, Indiana. Nancy was born in Elizabeth, Indiana on August 14, 1937, to William and Darnell Duley Miller. Nancy loved meeting people and interacting with them and her jobs over her lifetime reflected that passion. She held a teller position and retired from Old Capitol Bank in Corydon, Indiana, where she made many friends. She then went to work for Jesse Mathes as a Deputy Clerk in Harrison County Superior Court, where her caseload was Traffic Infractions, there she met many people but not all of them were friendly. She would just smile and call them “Honey” and tried to make their day better. Nancy attended Lincoln Hills Christian Church and later Pfrimmer’s Chapel Church in Corydon, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Sonny Rowley, second husband Roger Richert and sister, Jane Best. She is survived by one son, Paul Rowley (Nancy) of Corydon, Indiana, two stepsons, Michael Richert of Brazil, Indiana, Patrick Richert of Clarksville, Indiana, one brother, Bill Miller of New Albany, Indiana, two sisters Carol Johns and Peggy Smallwood both of Florida, 10 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and her finace, Charlie Russell of Corydon, Indiana. There will be a funeral service for Nancy 2: PM on Monday, April1, 2024 at the Gehlbach & Royse Funeral Home, 318 E. Chestnut Street, Corydon, Indiana. Pastor Webster Oglesby will officiate. Visitation will begin that day at 11:00 AM and continue until the time of the service. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Corydon, Indiana.
