PATRICIA JEAN (COOK) TKACH STALEY, born December 9, 1942, to Melvin Howard Cook, Sr. and Mary Katherine Groger, died March 22, 2024. She is survived by her two precious sons, Steven Tkach Jr. and Scott Patrick Tkach (Elizabeth); stepdaughter, Marlene D. Farquhar (Jesse); her beloved grandchildren, Rebecca Federer and Daniel Farquhar; and her siblings, Melvin H. Cook, Jr., Joan Torok, and James Cook; along with many nieces and nephews, especially William (Agitator) Cook. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Steven Tkach, Sr., and Leonard J. Staley II; a sister, Mary Joyce Holzapfel; a brother, Robert E. Cook; and a stepson, Richard L. Staley.
She loved music, reading, horses, biking, dancing, Ocean City, MD and her summer home retreat in Slippery Rock. A lifelong Steeler and Penguin fan, she very much enjoyed watching almost every game. Patricia was a devout Christian who loved God and held her faith most Dearly.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at St. Michael the Archangel Parish at St. Bernard’s Church, 311 Washington Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15216. Interment will follow at Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon, PA.
