Charles C. Poirier IV, known affectionately to friends and family as Charlie, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024, at the age of 64, in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. He was the loving husband of Patricia L. Burrell. Born on August 7, 1959, to Charles C. Poirier III and the late Patricia (Roth) Metzger, Charlie lived a life marked by laughter, kindness, and generosity that touched the hearts of all who knew him.

Charlie's passion for the great outdoors was evident to anyone who spent time with him. He was an avid camper, fisherman, hunter, and rafter. His love for nature was only matched by his great sense of humor, which he shared generously, bringing joy and laughter to every gathering. Charlie was a fun, loving, and outgoing brother and uncle who always had funny stories to tell about his adventures.

Those who knew Charlie would describe him as the life of the party, a man who could find humor in any situation. His funny anecdotes and infectious laugh often made him the center of attention, yet he remained humble and kind. Charlie's generosity knew no bounds, he was always the first to lend a helping hand.

Charlie's legacy is one of warmth and compassion. His ability to connect with people, to make them smile, and to offer kindness without expecting anything in return, made him a beloved man to anyone who knew him. He will be remembered not only for his love of the outdoors but for the way he lived his life to its fullest.

In addition to his wife and father, Charlie is survived by his siblings, Cheri (Keith) Poirier, Chris Poirier, and Cindy (Casey) Bonincontro; six nieces and nephews, Eric (Chelsea), Wendie (Dan), Rachel, C.J. (Stephanie), Jesse, Jordan (Josh); 12 great nieces and nephews; his grandson Logan Dobrowsky; his beloved Uncle George and Aunt Patricia; and many cousins.

Family and friends are invited to join the family for visitation on Monday, March 25, 2024 from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home, 301 Curry Hollow Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15236. A Memorial Service for Charlie will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday following the visitation. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery.
