Joseph Garofalo, Jr., 77, of Wantage, passed away February 29, 2024.
The son of the late Joseph and Carmella Garofalo, Joseph grew up in West Paterson. He married Mary Ann (nee Villopoto) in 1987 and the couple lived in Vernon for over 30 years before settling in Wantage six years ago. He was the finance manager for Kaytes Ford and loved playing golf, going on cruises with his family, and Corvettes.
Joseph is lovingly survived by his wife, Mary Ann; his children, Stacy Sanchez and her husband Victor, and Brian Garofalo; his stepsons, David Stellato and his wife Dawn, and Daniel Stellato and his fiance Dana; his niece, Josephine Garofalo; 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents; his brother, Rosario Garofalo; his sister-in-law, Patricia Garofalo; his nephew, Rosario Garofalo, Jr.; and his stepson, Louis Stellato.
Visiting hours will be held from 3 to 7 pm Tuesday, March 5 at the M. John Scanlan Funeral Home, Pompton Plains. A funeral service will be held 10 am Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. A repast will follow at the Brownstone.
