Donald F. Anderson Obituary

Donald F. Anderson, 84, passed away peacefully at his home on February 25. Born on February 21, 1940 in Paris, KY, he was the son of Oscar Author and Callie Kissick Anderson. He was preceded in death by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and a nephew. He is survived by his sister-in-laws, Patricia Anderson, Paris and Velma Anderson, Lexington and several nephews and a niece, his companion for 33 years, Sherry Oliver and his devoted Shih Tzu, Bummer.


He served in the Army of the United States and the Air Force Reserves. He was employed in the Mutuel Department at Keeneland Association for 40 years. Donald was an avid basketball, baseball and Thoroughbred horse racing fan.


Internment will be private at Camp Nelson National Cemetery, Nicholasville.


Donations can be made to the Lexington Humane Society or a charity of one’s choice.
