Mrs. Effie Mae Mason, 82, the widow of Marvin Mason, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2018, at the Kenwood Health and Rehab Center. She was born on November 28, 1935 in Madison County to the late Cecil and Lou Ella Tackett Abney. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and enjoyed cooking and spending time working with her flowers. She was a member of the Peytontown Baptist Church. Survivors include: her children, Barbara Johnson, Donna Drummond (Robert), Betty Felts (Charles) and Marvin Mason, Jr.; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 step-great-grandchild; several brothers, sisters, and other extended family and friends. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:00 AM Friday, May 18, 2018, at the Combs, Parsons & Collins Funeral Home, W. Main St., with Rev. Johnnie Bowen and Rev. Johnathan Tussey officiating. Burial will follow in the Madison County Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-9 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Alex Johnson, Michael Johnson, Darrell Johnson, Darrin Felts, Mitchell Smith and Clay Tussey.
