On May 1st 1937 a baby girl was born to Nathan Johnson and Oleatha Doll Douglas Johnson in Simonton, Texas; they named her Jannie Lee Johnson. She attended school at Simonton Primary in Simonton, Texas and A.W. Jackson in Rosenberg, Texas
Jannie excepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at St. Matthews Baptist Church in Simonton, Texas. Later she joined Zion Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Donnie Johnson
Jannie was united in holy matrimony on March 22, 1955 to Willie Hillsman Jr
She was well known for her housekeeping and caring for (Adults and Children) and she adored her grandchildren
Jannie was preceded in death by her mother, father, three sisters; Dorothy Smith, Zella Flowers, Ida Bell and Johnson Gordon, seven brothers; H Johnson, Rufus Johnson, Calvin Johnson, Nathan Johnson, Nathaniel Johnson, Jessie Johnson and Ollie Johnson.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her beloved husband, Willie of 61years, eight handsome sons; Willie Charles, Don, Lawrence, James, Calvin, Randy, Sylvester, and Richard, three beautiful daughters; Joyce, Joe Ann, and Janice, one sister Ruth Newsome and one brother Robert Johnson, 28 grandchildren, 54 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild Kaiyln Washington along with a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
