Funeral Service for Lucy Ann Rae (nee DiFranco) age 92, will be 10:00 am, Saturday, February 24, 2024, at the Jakubs-Waite Funeral Home, 36000 Lakeshore Blvd., Eastlake. Family will receive friends on Friday from 4:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will be in Willoughby Memorial Gardens.

Lucy was born in Cleveland on October 30, 1931, to the late Thomaso and Alfonsina DiFranco; and she passed away on February 19, 2024, in Mentor, Ohio.

Lucy worked for 23 years at General Motors on Coit Road. She was a pillar of strength, grounded in her faith and devoted to her family. From her role as a Sunday school teacher to her time spent involved in church activities, she touched the lives of many with her kindness and wisdom. She was the glue that kept the family together during holidays and memorable Florida trips, creating lasting bonds and cherished memories for all who knew her. She enjoyed being a snowbird for over 25 years at the Lakes Senior Village in Plant City, FL.

Lucy was the beloved wife of the late Homer E. Rae; loving mother of Diana (Gary) Baden, Michael (Martha) Rae, Stephen Rae, Barbara (Dean) Ferguson, and Heather (David) Shembarger; cherished grandmother of Amanda (Evan) Baden-Corbin, Matthew Ferguson, Andrew (Claire) Baden, Kelly (George) Ferguson-Pudussery, Allyson Baden, Jonathan (Bethany) Shembarger, Rebecca (Joel) Shembarger-Paquette, Brian Shembarger, and Gabriel Shembarger; proud great grandmother of Jeremiah Shembarger, Nola Corbin, Derek Shembarger, Isla Corbin, Isabel Shembarger, Cyrus Corbin; loving sister of Elio J. DiFranco (deceased) and Anna M. DiFranco (deceased).
