Marilyn Bussolini Dumas, 89, of Avon, beloved wife of George W. Dumas, passed away Monday, February 12th, 2024. Born July 21, 1934 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Mary (Potanka) Bussolini. Marilyn received her Bachelor of Science degree from Colby Sawyer College in New Hampshire. Prior to retiring, Marilyn was a Registrar of Voters for the Town of Avon. She was a devout communicant of the Cathedral of St. Joseph in Hartford. Marilyn and her husband enjoyed traveling, especially aboard Princess Cruise ships.


Besides her husband, she is survived by her loving daughter, Elizabeth Dumas of Batavia, IL and her brother, Jacob Bussolini of Mooresville, NC.


Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 180 Farmington Ave., Hartford on Saturday, February 17th, 2024 from 8:30-9:30am. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be at 9:30am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 140 Farmington Ave., Hartford at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Cathedral of St. Joseph, 140 Farmington Ave., Hartford, CT 06105.
