Darrel Carnduff Obituary

Darrel “Ernie” L. Carnduff, 65, of Peoria, passed away at 4:44 a.m. on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at home. Darrel was born in Decatur on July 13, 1941, son of Walter B. and Betty R. Morstatter Carnduff. He married Peggy A. Legare on September 30, 1961 in Streator, IL. She survives. Darrel is also survived by his brother, Joe (Henrietta) of Streator; sister, Mary Kay of Owensboro, KY; and several nieces and nephews. Darrel retired in 1982, after 20 years of service, as a machinist for Caterpillar, Inc. at their Mossville plant. He was of the Nazarene faith. Darrel enjoyed roller skating, attending yard sales and auctions and spending time with his family and his close friends. He especially enjoyed spending time with his brother, Joe; Bill Hoffstater; Greg And Donna LeVieux; and Steve & Reba Ballard. He enjoyed country music, listening to Reba McIntyre, cheering for the Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears and spending time at the Mutual Tap. “Joy to the World”, by Three Dog Nightwas his favorite song and he enjoyed collecting roostersand junk. Darrel was very particular in everything that he did and you knew he was “The Boss”. He was the best husband, brother and uncle. He will be remembered as a very loving and caring man, with a teddy-bear heart. Memorial services will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday at Clary Funeral Consultants in Peoria, with the Rev. Ralph Hill officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Inurnment will be held at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
