Calvin Fletcher Obituary

Calvin Lee Fletcher, 84, of Peoria, passed away at 10:05 p.m. on Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Heddington Oaks in West Peoria. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2015, at Clary Funeral Home, 3004 West Lake Avenue in Peoria, with Jeff Leeman officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Interment will be at Historic Springdale Cemetery in Peoria. Calvin was born on February 5, 1930 in St. Louis, a son of Claude Lee and Opal Murl (Carpenter) Fletcher. They preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Billy Jean Fletcher, and sisters, Melba Louise Taylor, Peggy Sue Wells and Veronica June Fletcher. He is survived by his sister, Juanita Lukehart of Peoria and many nieces and nephews. Calvin retired as an architect with the City of Kansas City. He enjoyed reading and studying the Bible, watching baseball and spending time with his family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) in Hanna City.
