Curtis was born in Trona, CA on November 27, 1947, a son of Paul and Christine (Bagley) Crawford. He married Connie Jo Cohen on January 28, 1971 in Carthage. He loved music, especially Country, Blues and Jazz. His favorite songs were “I Believe in You”, by Don Williams and “Here in the Real World”, by Alan Jackson. He was a sports fan and his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Astros. He enjoyed teaching his children about sports. He served as his high school football teams quarterback. He loved spending time outside and could talk to anyone that would listen. He never met a stranger and had a great gift of gab. He was a long-winded, tall and handsome Texan. He always said the he was “tall, dark, handsome and neat and known from coast to coast like butter and toast”!
