      Kathleen Patricia Bradley passed away February 5, 2024, in Austin, Texas. Kathy was born September 17, 1960, in Houston, Texas to Patricia (Pat) and William (Bill) Bradley. She was raised in the Spring Branch area of Houston, and attended Spring Shadows Elementary, Spring Oaks and Northbrook Junior High, and is a 1978 graduate of Northbrook High School. She was actively involved in many activities and student counsel. She graduated from Southwest Texas State University with an Accounting degree in 1982.

      After graduation Kathy joined the family business, Bradley’s Art & Frame. She found joy in pieces of artwork and beauty in this world. She was highly skilled in the framing industry, with a keen eye for color and design, transforming artworks and personal treasures into masterpieces for her customers.

      Along with her mother Pat, Kathy was an enthusiastic Astro’s fan. She loved adventure, travel, music, and gardening. Kathy had a very compassionate and loving heart, caring deeply for friends and family. She was also involved in many volunteering activities from the Austin Food Bank to helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities at The ARC of Greater Houston. She was also an equestrian leader at the nonprofit, Ride On Center for Kids (ROCK) in Austin, TX, that provides equine assisted therapy to children, adults and veterans. She was very passionate about helping others and was the kind of person who never met a stranger. The laughter that she brought to any gathering with her eclectic wit and humor will be greatly missed.

      Kathleen is preceded in death by her late husband Clifford Nelson, mother Patricia Foley Bradley, grandmother Helen Foley Bliss, grandmother Jewel Bilbo Bradley. She is survived by father John William Bradley, Sr., brother John William Bradley, Jr., uncle George (Skip) L. Bradley, aunt Sara Bradley, cousin John Bradley, cousin Annie Bradley McCall and husband Mercury, and their son Ulysses, uncle Bill Bliss, aunt Helen Bliss Shepherd and husband Bennett, cousin Patricia Bliss Lancaster and her daughters Evelyn and Eleanor. Finally, many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly and sadly mourning Kathy’s passing, including her beloved feline roommate, Joey.
