Attis Christman

(Attis) Marion Christman, 85, of Champaign died on March 15, 2019 at the Heritage Health Nursing Home in Gibson City. He was born in Fonthill, KY. a son of Squire Attis and Ada Pearl (Rexroat) Christman. He married Carole J. Stickels and celebrated 58 years together. Marion proudly served a tour in the US Air Force, worked as a US Postal Clerk and 30 + years as a sales and service rep for Aramark. He was a dedicated member of Bible Baptist Church where he sang in the choir, served as a deacon and taught Sunday school. Marion has a great sense of humor and was friendly to everyone, which brightened their day, he will be truly missed. Surviving are his children Bonnie (Ed) Bein of Chesapeake, VA, Steven Christman of Champaign, Charles (Amy) Christman of Oblong and Victor (Shellie) Christman of Gibson City, fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, and a sister Lorene Gosser of Fisher. He was preceded in death by his wife Carole, a granddaughter Abigail, three sisters and one brother. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday March 23, 2019 at 11:00am at Bible Baptist Church, 4001 W. Kirby in Champaign with Pastor Mark Smith officiating. Visitation will be held before the service from 9:00-11:00am. Burial will be at 3:00 pm at Drummer Township Cemetery in Gibson City.
