David E. Baker Obituary

David E. Baker was called to glory on February 8, 2024 in Carmel, Indiana.

David was born in Cincinnati, OH on February 3, 1941 and graduated from high school in Louisville, KY before joining the Air Force in 1959.  Two days before being honorably discharged, he married the love of his life, Judith Lizotte.  They had two sons, Glenn and Eric, and remained faithfully married for over sixty (60) years.  The majority of his career was spent as a sales and marketing manager.

Besides being a devoted husband and father, David was passionate about woodworking and built most of their household furniture.  He also sold many pieces of furniture through Colonial Treasures in Zionsville in the early 1980’s.  In addition, David enjoyed photography, reading, writing novels and politics.

David was preceded in death by his mother, Marion Galloway and his father, David E. Baker.  He leaves behind his wife; both sons; two daughters-in-law, Veidawattie and Roxanne along with three grandchildren, Maya, Jordan and Mariana.  David was deeply loved by his entire family and will be greatly missed.

A visitation will be held on February 13, 2024 at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St., Zionsville, IN from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A funeral service will be immediately following the service. Burial will take place following the service at Hutton Memorial Cemetery.
