<p>NEW BEDFORD-Miguel Antonio Moreta Russell, 41, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at St. Luke's Hospital.</p><p>He was the loving companion of Katelyn A. Asquino and son of Miguel Antonio Moreta Feliz and Martha Eltha Russell de Moreta.</p><p>Born in Barahona, Dominican Republic, Miguel resided in New York City for several years before arriving in New Bedford in 2001.</p><p>He was employed as a personal care attendant and also as a automobile salesman.</p><p>Miguel was a member of several area baseball teams and was an avid fan of all types of sports. He enjoyed shooting pool and playing dominoes, but more than anything else, his family was the primary focus of his life and he loved them all dearly.</p><p>Miguel selflessly gave the gift of life to several people through organ donation. He will continue to live in those individuals who were the recipients of those precious gifts.</p><p>His family includes his companion and mother of his children, Katelyn A. Asquino of New Bedford; his parents, Miguel Antonio Moreta Feliz and Martha Eltha Russell de Moreta, both of New Bedford; his son, Jayden Moreta of New Bedford; his daughter, Alyana Asquino of New Bedford; 2 brothers, Emmanuel Moreta and his wife, Demarys and Luis Moreta and his wife, Britanie, all of New Bedford; nieces and nephews, Adrian, Logan, Daysanny, Kyrie, Isabel, Jeremias, Mia and Lucas and several aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p>Visiting hours are Friday, February 16 from 5:00-8:00 P.M. His funeral will be Saturday, February 17 at 9:30 A.M. with a service to be conducted in the funeral home at 10:00 A.M. Interment in Rural Cemetery.</p><p>Funeral arrangements&nbsp; committed to the care of <b>AUBERTINE-LOPES FUNERAL HOME</b>, 129 Allen St., New Bedford.</p>
