Linda Louise Carrell Hulme, 83, of Newbern Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024. 

Born January 27, 1941, in Newbern, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie B and Laura Juanita Miller Carrell. Mrs. Hulme was a cosmetologist, worked for Stanley Jones Corporation in South Fulton, Tennessee, and owned Newbern Florist working along side her daughter for several years. Mrs. Hulme was a member of Parr Ave Church of Christ. She had a love for sewing, talking to friends and family on the phone, baking, and cooking for her family. Her chocolate meringue pie would have the grandchildren racing Mr. Hulme for the last piece. She would cook many family favorites to include roast beef, potatoes, and carrots, mandarin orange salad, lemon ice box pie, and chocolate fudge. 

Funeral services for Mrs. Hulme will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 12, 2024, in the Chapel of the Johnson- Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Mr. Randy Sims. Interment will be held in the Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. 

She is survived by her three loving children; two daughters, Dedra Hulme Sims (Randy) of Middlefield, Ohio and LonNita Hulme McDonald (Tommy) of Springville, Tennessee; one son, Keith Wayne Hulme of Newbern, Tennessee; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her parents, she preceded in death by her loving husband of 64 years, Wayne Clayton Hulme, her two brothers, Lonnie Louis Carrell and Larry Mack Carrell and grandson, Christopher Lynn McDonald. 

Honoring Mrs. Hulme as pallbearers will be family and friends. 
In lieu of flowers, family request donations to the Dyer County Cancer Society.
