Emil A. Baumbach Jr, age 88, of River Forest, IL and Williams Bay, WI, veteran U.S. Army, Korean Era; beloved husband of Lynn; loving father of Emil A. III (Christine), Mark (Kimberlee) and Christopher (Mary) Baumbach; cherished “Tatey” of Diana (Shelby Shadwell) and Sarah (Daniel Alt) Baumbach, Heidi, Allison (Zach) Bickel and Maxwell (Kristina) Baumbach, and Eric, Kaylee and Brian Baumbach; great-grandpa of Shepard and Holland Shadwell, Luca Baumbach-Alt, Zachary and Ava Granowitz, and Elizabeth and Thomas Bickel; dear brother of the late Claire (the late Jack) Cox and Ruth (the late Don) Peters; fond uncle, great-uncle and friend of many. Mr. Baumbach graduated from Northwestern Military and Naval Academy and attended Northwestern University. He was the owner of E.A. Baumbach Manufacturing Company of Chicago. He was the former president of the Geneva Lakes Association. Memorial Service 1 p.m. Saturday April 14, 2018 at Fair Oaks Presbyterian Church, 744 Fair Oaks Ave., Oak Park. Interment Private.
