Mark Snyder James

Mark Snyder James passed away peacefully from cancer on Friday, March 30, 2018 at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital with his family by his side. Mark was a loving son, brother, husband, and father; a man of intelligence, integrity, loyalty, and compassion. Mark was born in Pensacola, FL, the son of RADM Jack Milton James and Louise Snyder James. He was predeceased by his brother John and is survived by his wife, Diane Waldron James, his son, Christopher Waldron James, his brother Capt. Brent Snyder James, sister Sharon James Foley, brother Scott Snyder James, half-sister Jacqueline James Sweetak, and half-brother Luke Pakosta James. Mark was a graduate of Yorktown High School, Bucknell University, the College for Financial Planning, George Mason School of Law, and Georgetown Law. In addition to practicing law in McLean, VA, Mark was a Certified Financial Planner, registered representative of a broker-dealer and children’s book author.He was a black belt in Shotokan karate and loved flying his Piper Warrior aircraft. He will be forever missed by his many friends and loving family.
