Lenn Adam Bristow, 69 of Texas City, TX, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, surrounded by his family.
Fondly known as Red, he was born to Richard and Rosie Bristow in Carrollton, MO. After moving to and settling in Texas, he began his hardworking career in mechanics. Most notably, for 18 years, he worked for Texas City ISD, where he met his long-time partner, Melissa. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, camping, and playing trivia, but most of all, he loved spending time with friends and family.
Red is survived by his loving partner Melissa Broussard; two children Craig (wife Sophia) Bristow and Melissa Bristow; step-children Amy (husband Terren) Snodgrass, Nicole Broussard, and Michelle Broussard; grandchildren Olivia & Julia; step-grandchildren Calvin, Anthony, Adam, and Raylan; and family in Missouri, including a brother, two sisters, nephews, and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Glen Owen Bristow, and sister Jewell "Judy" Vanfossen.
Red was a deeply beloved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, and friend. While his life seemed too short to many, those who were fortunate enough to have known Red understand that his existence and the imprint left on our hearts will be everlasting. He was one of the most supportive and caring people with an amazing sense of humor. Whether you were a family member, neighbor, or friend of a friend, he was always there to lend a helping hand – and made you laugh in the process.
Because Red celebrated life, no formal funeral service will be held. Instead, he will be honored at a celebration of life in Texas as well as Missouri at a later date.
