Wilfredo Legaspi passed away unexpectedly at home in Texas City, Tx Monday January 15, 2024. Wilfredo or Fred as we fondly called him was born August 17, 1949 in Manila, Philippines. He migrated to Guam in 1976 at which time he started working with Matson Shipping. He transferred to Matson in Long Beach, California then moved to Seattle for approximately 10 years. He then moved back to California then eventually settled in Texas City, Texas.
Fred was an avid bowler and joined bowling clubs at a nearby bowling alley called All Star Lanes in Eagle Rock. He also loved the game of basketball and every Sunday he would be at a park or gym playing with friends. He was also an active member of Biyak-Biyak, a group of friends who used long range walkie talkies to communicate and spend time together camping or just hanging out.
Fred is survived by his daughter Cheryl Peralta, son in law Marc Peralta and granddaughter Hailey Peralta of Glendale CA, daughter Journey Ann Legaspi and son Maverick Jay Legaspi of Pasadena Tx, sisters Erlinda Lao of Cerritos CA, Imelda San Juan of Guam, Adelaida Legaspi& Lutgarda Rosario of Kent, WA, numerous nieces, nephews and many many friends.
