Brenda Schneiderman Zange Obituary

On March 24, 2018, God called on his most beautiful angel, Brenda Zange. Surrounded by her loving family, Brenda peacefully returned home to heaven. Brenda “Red” Zange was born in Woodstock on March 18, 1969 to Melvin and Jean (Mackey) Schneiderman. She was a loving wife to her husband of 22 years, Kevin Zange, whom she married on Oct. 5, 1995 in Algonquin; and a beautiful mother to her four children, Courtney (27), Abigail (21), Kevin Jr. (20) and Alexander (15). Nothing brought Brenda more joy than spending time with her family. Brenda was employed by Waste Management for 23 years. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woodstock, and the Woodstock High School Backers Club. Brenda enjoyed spending her time helping to organize events, and cheering on her children at their sporting events. She will be greatly missed but forever remembered for her contagious warmth, smile, beautiful red hair and her absolute unconditional love for those who surrounded her. Brenda has taught us that in life, we are presented with challenges, but at the end of the day, no matter the challenge, no matter how long or short it may be, life is a gift. Or as she would say “Life is short, eat the cake.” In addition to her husband and four children, Brenda is survived by her mother, Jean; her brother, Mark (Victoria) Schneiderman; her sister, Dawn McMichael; and many other family members and friends that loved her unconditionally. Brenda was preceded in death by her father, Melvin; and her brother, Keith. Friends may visit with her family from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 27, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Woodstock. Following Mass, interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock. All services are open to friends and family, and any of those that adore her as we do. For those wishing to send an expression of condolence, her family suggests memorials in Brenda’s honor be made to Special Olympics. Arrangements are entrusted to Justen Funeral Home & Crematory, McHenry. For information, please call the funeral home at 815-385-2400, or visit www.justenfh.com, where friends may leave an online condolence message for her family.
