Michele Richter

(Age 51) Heaven has welcomed a new angel. Michele left this earth to be with Jesus on January 16, 2018. Michele was born on June 22, 1966 to Robert McVicars and Margie Owen. She was educated at St. Charles and Assumption Catholic elementary schools and Gonzaga Preparatory High School. While at Gonzaga Prep, she was devoted to working with underprivileged and handicapped individuals. She furthered her studies at Washington State University, Gonzaga University and Arizona State University where she received her degree. In February of 1990, she and Joseph Richter were married in Spokane. She and Joe have four wonderful children: Jordyn, Joey, Josh and Jack. Micheles number one priority and passion was her husband and children of whom she was extraordinarily proud. She was fiercely devoted to not only family, but the pursuit of completing her higher education. She had many friends and colleagues to whom she was extremely loyal. Michele will be remembered for her kind heart, loving spirit and strong faith in the Lord. Michele is survived by her loving husband Joe Richter and her four adoring children, her parents Margie (Carl) Owen and Bob (Sue) McVicars, her brother Rob (Katie) McVicars and their three children, Jeff (Jan) Owen, Brent (Christy) Owen, her Mother in Law Theresa Richter, Sisters in Law: Pam Labozetta, Bonnie (Terry) Bauer, Debbie (Craig) Setter, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She will be missed not only by her family, but by the many friends she made through her involvement in work, Church, and the numerous organizations that were near to her heart. We believe our angel will continue to protect, guide and mentor all the lives she has touched. A Memorial Service for Michele will be Wednesday, January 24th at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her name to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
