(Age 74) Loving husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and treasured friend, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April, 9, 2016, in England. Ed was born on November 13, 1941, in Coalville, Utah, to Carl Emil and Neoma Brinkman Isakson. He was raised in Peoa, Utah, and graduated from South Summit High. Ed served in the United States Air Force from 1963 to 1967. He attended Dixie and Weber State Colleges and received his BS degree in Sociology/Psychology. His wife was his best friend, date and mate. He was actively involved in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives as provider, protector, teacher, cheerleader and advisor. Ed started his career at the Weber Basin Job Corps as a teacher and guidance counselor. He left Job Corps to become an employee development specialist for the United States Air Force. During his career he made homes in Utah, Texas, Florida, Guam, Maine, the Philippines, Indiana, Montana, Spokane, Germany and England. Including his military time, Ed served his country for over 39 years and retired as Chief of Education and Training at Fairchild Air Force Base in 2004. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various church positions. Ed will be remembered for his quiet strength, compassion, generosity, patience, humorous one-liners, sweet smile and gorgeous silver hair. His happiest times were those spent with his family. His favorite activities included playing sports, celebrating holidays, Volksmarching, camping, hunting and cheering on family members at their activities. He shared a passion for adventure with his wife and they thoroughly enjoyed travelling the world with family and friends.
