Edith Loman<br />Born: February 7, 1938<br /><br />Edith was born February 7, 1938 in Bearden, OK to Charlie & Jewel Cross. She often told stories to her kids and grandkids about drawing water from a well, picking cotton, and lots of other things particular about growing up in the rural Oklahoma. She was a house wife that loved to do cross word puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, and rummy (often making up her own rules). She taught her kids and grandchildren to love simple things like finding four leaf clovers and picking blackberries. Edith loved sports playing basketball in high school and watching baseball, basketball and football on TV. <br /><br />On May 16th, 1956 she married Ray (Hack) Loman. They made their home in the Butner area and had five children.
