Bill Hopper, Sr., 80 of Clinton, IL passed away 3:55 PM March 15, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the Weldon Cemetery, Weldon, IL with J. Kent Hickerson officiating. The family entrusted Calvert Funeral Home, Clinton, IL with arrangements. Bill was born November 3, 1937 in Ralston, OK the son of Ruben and Velma (Jones) Hopper. He married Erma Followell September 18, 1959 in Clinton, IL. Survivors include his wife: Erma Hopper, Clinton, IL; children: Bill Hopper, Jr, Clinton, IL, Doug Hopper, Clinton, IL and Lee Ann Price, Clinton, IL; 4 grandchildren: Kristen Hopper, Britney Hopper, Ryan (Molly) Hopper, and Nicholas (Victoria) Price; 9 great grandchildren: Carson Alexander, Macy Alexander, Aiden Alexander, Reed Notaro, Hayden Hopper, Peyton Porter, Jackson Porter, William Price and Philip Price; brothers: Ron Hopper, Ralston, OK and Tom (Carol) Hopper, Hominy, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 daughters: Tonia and Tina Hopper; 1 grandson: Chad Hopper and several brothers and sisters. Bill worked for ADM and retired as a foreman; he had 41 years of elevator work experience. Bill’s passion was gardening, but most of all spending time with his family.
