Family and friends will gather February 13, 2024, to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial for Gloria Ann Zarb who passed away December 16, 2023, at the University of Michigan Hospital.  A memorial service will be held at St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church Brighton, MI.  Viewing will start at 10 am followed by the memorial service at 11 am, Luncheon to be held afterwards.  Service will be led by Father Paul Erickson.

Gloria was the first born child to Roy and Elnora Herrmann in Luverne, Minnesota, February 10, 1942.  She was married to Georg Zarb June 24, 1997.  She worked for Canon Corporation and Mr. Green Lawn Care until retirement.

Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who above all enjoyed spending tme with her family.  She attended many of her grandchildren's football, field hockey, lacrosse, and soccer games.  Gloria loved baking cookies, breads, and trail mix for all o her loved ones.  Whenever Gloria entered a room, you were sure to be met with a big hug and a "Hello Sweetie".  Gloria especially loved organizing and hosting the families annual Christmas gathering every year.  Gloria loved her family deeply and regardless of the distance she stayed close: talking to her sister Karen daily and many visits to Arizona to see her sister Jeannie.  She was passionate about sharing her time and talents as a member of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church.

The world will not be the same without her fun, loving, and positive outlook on life which brought joy to many.

She is survived by her husband of 26 years, George, her sons Bruce (Kelly) of Wixom, Brian (Cherie) of Brighton: grandchildren Kent, Kyle, El, Kortney, Derrek, Chelsea, Sydney: great-grandchildren Madeline, McCoy, Remy, Penelope, Mackenzie: siblings Karen Knowlton, Jeannie Owens, and many sisters and brother-in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. 

Gloria is preceded in death by her  parent's father and mother-in-law.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Cancer Research Institute (www.give.cacerresearch.org) or American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org)
