Isidro Ramos, Jr. Obituary

Isidiro Ramos, Jr., lovingly known as Sid, was born July 12, 1943, in Manhattan, New York and celebrated his homecoming with the Lord on December 15, 2023.

After meeting the love of his life, Carmen, they moved the family to Texas and married on Sid’s birthday in 1985. For over 25 years he worked as a commissioned security officer. After the passing of their mother, Sid graciously retired to continue the care for his disabled brother.

Sid enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, old and new alike. He held great pride for each relationship and never missed a minute to ensure they each felt loved and celebrated. He will be most remembered for his highly recognizable infectious laugh and zest for life! To him, there was nothing like laughing and cutting up, winning a hand of dominoes, or smoking good cigar with those he loved.

Sid is preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Rivera Ramos, his mother, Delores Ramos, his father, Isidro Ramos Sr., and a brother, Hector Ramos. He is survived by his children, Richard “Rico” Ramos (Kelly Martinez), Chareyl Ramos (Gene Gonzalez), and David Ramos (Cynthia Ramos); grandchildren, Jennifer Ramos, Daniel Velazquez, Nicholas Velazquez, Alexandria Ramos, Melissa Gonzalez, Anthony Gonzalez, Myla Ramos, Tanya Shabbir, Anthony Ramos, Shayaan Shabbir, Adrianna Ramos, and David Ramos Jr.; great-grandchildren, Carmelo Velazquez, Mailana Velazquez, Aliyah Velazquez, Axel Hernandez , and Madilyn Ramos.

Heavenly Father, we thank you for giving us 80 years of Sid’s love, light, and laughter. He will be forever missed but always remembered with a smile.
