Edith Maude Walton (Trimble)

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Edith Maude Walton on Wednesday December 13th at the age of 84 at the Sister’s of St. Joseph’s Hospice London, Ontario. Leading up to her passing, Edith was surrounded by the love of her family keeping vigil by her bedside. Edith was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years Victor (2020), her daughter Kelly Nimmert (2017), her son Barry (2011) and her daughter Wendy (1964). She will be forever missed by her children Brenda Trineer (Randy), Kim Pugh (Lyle) and Dion Walton (Karen). Edith was the proud Grandmother to Christopher (Shelbie), Amanda (Mike), Jessica, Kathleen, Keith, Ryan, Megan, Audrey, Ava and Alexander. She was the loving great grandmother affectionately known as “Nana’s Nana” to Noah, Lucas, Jacob, Markus and Amelia. The family would like to extend our sincere and heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Sister’s of St. Joseph’s Hospice. We cannot begin to thank you for the compassion and care you provided our mom during her final days. The honor guard is something we will never forget. Such a beautiful send off at such a difficult time. We would also like to thank the doctors and nurses at University Hospital for their exceptional care prior to her move to hospice. Finally to all the amazing nurses, PSW’s and staff at Westmount Gardens Long Term Care Home, you cared for our mother as if she were your own. For that we are so very grateful. As per Edith’s wishes, there will be a private family service at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
