Lourdes, o conocida cariosamente por todos los que la queran como "Luli", naci el 8 de Abril 1955 en Arequipa, Per. Hija de profesores, Luz Olivares y Alirio Crdenas, Luli era una nia aventurera, imaginativa, con el sueo de venir a los Estados Unidos y una pasin por el arte. Luli, una vida fantica de los Beatles y firme en el aprendizaje del idioma ingls, escuchaba y escriba las letras de las canciones de la banda famosa y, a su vez, aprenda ella misma a hablar ingls. Los padres de Luli luego se opondran a sus deseos de estudiar arte de manera ms formal, pero fue en el colegio, durante sus estudios donde conocera al amor de su vida, Mario Lau. Luli y Mario luego se casaran, se mudaran a Venezuela y tendran dos hijas, Virginia y Jessica. An decidida a cumplir el sueo de su vida, en el ao 2000, Luli abord un avin con sus hijas hacia los Estados Unidos, donde se sumergira en la industria de los seguros y llamara a Florida y sus hermosas playas, su hogar para siempre. Durante su tiempo libre, Luli disfrutaba preparar deliciosas comidas, escuchar msica y encontrar motivos para reunir a familiares y amigos. Al encontrar tambin un pincel, renov su pasin por el arte y pint maravillosamente el lienzo de su vida hasta completarlo. Para apreciar su memoria quedan las hijas de Luli; Jessica y Virginia (Csar Vallenilla), nietos; Bruce Baldwin y Sebastin y Santiago Vallenilla, hermana; Teresa (Aldo Castro) y sobrinas; Laura y Lorena Castro, as como muchos otros familiares y amigos. Lourdes, or affectionately known to all those who loved her as "Luli", was born on April 8, 1955 in Arequipa, Peru, to Luz Olivares and Alirio Cardenas. The daughter of professors, she was an adventurous, imaginative girl with a dream of coming to the United States and a passion for art. An avid Beatles fan, and steadfast on learning the English language, Luli would listen to and write the lyrics of the famous bands songs, in turn, teaching herself how to speak English. Lulis parents would later oppose her wishes to study art more formally, but it was at school, during her studies where she would meet the love of her life, Mario Lau. Luli and Mario would later marry, move to Venezuela and have two daughters, Virginia and Jessica. Still determined to fulfill her life long dream, in the year 2000, Luli boarded a plane with her daughters to the United States, where she would submerse herself in the Insurance industry and call Florida and its beautiful beaches, her forever home. During her free time, Luli enjoyed making delicious meals, listening to music and finding reasons to get family and friends together. Finding a paintbrush as well, she renewed her passion for art, as she beautifully painted the canvas of her life to completion. Left to cherish her memory are Lulis daughters; Jessica and Virginia (Cesar Vallenilla), grandsons; Bruce Baldwin and Sebastian and Santiago Vallenilla, sister; Teresa (Aldo Castro), and nieces; Laura and Lorena Castro as well as many other extended relatives and friends.
