Rebecca “Becky” Helen Dorssey, age 74, of Aurora, Missouri, formerly of Miller, Missouri, passed away at 4:39 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Hudson House in Aurora. She was born May 12, 1949, in Denver, Colorado, the daughter of Orville and Geraldine (Byank) Hite, Jr.

Becky was a 1967 graduate of Canal Winchester High School in Canal Winchester, Ohio. Becky and her first husband Bob Dorssey owned a construction company where she worked as a bookkeeper. She volunteered at the Miller Christian Center Thrift Store and was a member of the Highland Chapel Free Methodist Church in Miller, Missouri.

On August 20, 2010, she married George Richard Harper in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Becky is survived by her husband, George Harper; six children, Kim (Mark) Warne, Bobby Dorssey, Kris (Justin) Evers, Rick (Minde) Harper, Jeff (Cathy)Watts and David Dorssey; four grandchildren, Mike Hall, Sarah Deckert, Monica (Scott) Ehmann and Landon (Colby) Dorssey; two great-grandchildren, Parker Ehmann and Beckett Dorssey and three sisters, Elizabeth (James) Marshall, Sue (Mike) Bowser and Mary Saunders.

Becky was preceded in death by her parents, Orville, and Geraldine; one daughter, Renee Dorssey and her first husband, Bob Dorssey.

A celebration of Becky’s life will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at the Morris-Leiman-Mosher Funeral Home, in Miller, Missouri.
