Ronald Eugene Cochran 60 of Shawnee Oklahoma passed away on Sunday November 26 2023 after a battle with cancer. He was born on December 27 1962 with his identical twin Randy in Pasadena Texas. His parents were Norl D. Cochran and Doris (Hamilton) Cochran. In 1983 Ron met the love of his life Betty. They married on August 31 1984 and shared their lives with five daughters-Shawna Melissa Charity Ashley and Rhonda. He joined the Air National Guard in 1987 and served in Desert Storm/Desert Shield. He loved his country and was proof that not all soldiers die on the battlefield! Ron was predeceased by his father Norl. Ron is survived by his wife Betty of the home; his mother Doris; sisters Kathy and Lori; brothers Doug and Randy; his five daughters; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. A memorial service will be held on Monday December 4 2023 10:00 am at Emmanuel Episcopal Church 501 N. Broadway Ave. Shawnee Oklahoma 74801. An inurnment service with military honors will be held on Tuesday December 5 2023 2:30 pm at Fort Gibson National Cemetery 1423 Cemetery Rd. Fort Gibson Oklahoma 74434. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers remembrances be made in the form of donations to the Emmanuel Episcopal Porch House.
