Funeral services celebrating the life of Donald Baldwin will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 16, 2016, in The Chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Lawanda Smith-Mobley officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Ball. Visitation will be observed at the funeral home on Thursday, December 15, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Taylor Ward, Charlie Kokemor, Fred Cook, Ron Parker, Jody Morace and Wymon Terrell. Honorary pallbearers are Willie Mathews and Tommy Mertens. Donald Baldwin, 61, of Alexandria passed from this life on, Sunday, December 11, 2016, at University Health, Shreveport. Donald was a beer drinkin, pistol packin, cigarette smokin, cowboy hat and boot wearin son-of-a-gun. Being a great storyteller who loved being around people, he was one of a kind. Donald was a very caring and honest man who believed in working hard and playing harder. He was an honest businessman, owning and operating his own Automotive Mechanic Shop. His customers loved him. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing. Donald was a loving husband, proud and loving father, brother and friend. He will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Etta Horton Baldwin. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jennifer Downey Baldwin; son, Jason Neil Baldwin; daughters, Melinda Gayle Brister, Susan Baldwin Ward and husband, Taylor and Olivia Baldwin Kokemor and husband, Charlie; 5 grandchildren and 2 on the way; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Sharon Sifford and Paula Clemons; his loyal canine companion, P2 and a host of other family members and friends.
