Marion "Marilou" Miller
~~Marion L. Marilou Miller, 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 2, 2017 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Marilou was born on June 3, 1933 in Norwalk and was the daughter of the late Myron and Elizabeth Miller. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Kenneth Kenny Miller, and was a long-time resident of Stamford. Mrs. Miller grew up in New Canaan and was a graduate of New Canaan High School, Class of 1951. She worked for the Stamford Board of Education as secretary to the Director of Pupil Services for over 20 years before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed meeting friends at Cummings Beach, attending Broadway plays, traveling, was an avid reader, and adored spending time with her grandchildren the joys of her life. She is survived by her sons; Charles R. Miller and Mark F. Miller, his wife Mary, her beloved grandchildren Jason and Jessica Miller, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sister Barbara Bonham and brother Donald Miller. Family and friends may call at the Thomas M. Gallagher Funeral Home 453 Shippan Ave Stamford, CT (203)-359-9999 on Saturday, October 7th from 9:30-11:00am, with a memorial service starting at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private at Long Ridge Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
